This year, Apple’s marketing strategy revolves around Apple Intelligence and the new iOS 18 version. Now, Apple is rolling out iOS 18.2 this week with more significant updates.
According to MacRumors, the update will include AI writing tools, an image playground, Genmoji, an image wand, and ChatGPT integration, in addition to Visual Intelligence, which leverages the camera control button.
However, it is not confirmed when iOS 18.2 will be publicly released. But Apple Intelligence expands its support from localized English to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Ireland, and the UK, alongside U.S. English.
The following Apple Intelligence features will be introduced in the iOS 18.2 beta.
It allows you to create cartoon-style images with text prompts. You can also choose places, costumes, and items from the built-in app. Image Playground feature can add details to your cartoon-style photos and alter it among all apps and messages.
You can generate images that match your context, scratches, and rough pencil sketches. Image Wand in Apple Notes can transform your highlighted text into high-quality AI original images.
Genmoji can generate emojis using text prompts like Image Playground. You can access it through the emoji keyboard with “+” next to the search bar. It is available only in iOS 18 and above versions.
Siri is integrated with ChatGPT for a more powerful and relevant experience in iOS 18.2. You can “Ask Siri” your questions, and it will automatically redirect you to ChatGPT without any other application. ChatGPT is free to use for iOS 18 and 18.2 users.
This feature is enabled only in iPhone 16 models through the camera control button. By long pressing the button, you will open the Visual Intelligence feature. It displays information about your surroundings like cafés, bookstores, and more.
In iOS 18.2, Writing Tools offers more advanced AI updates for text customization. It allows changes in the text according to your preferences, rewrites the text, summarizes context, and blends with ChatGPT.
