The Canceled Google Pixel Tablet 2 Would Have These Upgraded Features

A previous news release unveiled that Google canceled its Pixel tablet lineup. However, Android Authority reported what features the canceled Pixel Tablet 2 would have.

Google announced that their team stopped working on the Pixel Tablets series in 2019. However, the organization changed its mind and launched its first Pixel Tablet in 2022. It didn’t offer distinctive features to make it worth buying.

On the other hand, the canceled Pixel Tablet 2 would be expected to have a 10.95-inch LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate. Along with the display upgrade, it would have a 2,560 × 1,600 pixel resolution with two camera upgrades.

Furthermore, the Pixel Tablet 2 selfie camera would update to Samsung S5K3K1 (1/3.94″ 10MP). Meanwhile, the rear camera would have been expected to switch to Samsung S5K3J1 (1/3″ 11MP) with autofocus quality. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t have satellite connectivity.

Additionally, Google leaned a Thread radio into Pixel Tablet 2 (Codename- Kiyomi) making it more compatible with smart home hubs. However, Pixel 9 smartphones also have a radio that is not utilized by owners. The Pixel Tablet 2 supported 5G connectivity using the same Exynos Modem 5400. 

In addition to upgraded features, Google has planned the Pixel Tablet 2 would eventually support an external display with up to 4K resolution.

The leaked information about Pixel Tablet 2 upgraded features wouldn’t be more impressive. Yet, it’s disappointing that Google canceled the Pixel Tablet 2 release.
