Rabbit is introducing a new and interesting feature called ‘Teach Mode’ for its R1 devices, allowing users to create an AI agent that can carry out the task on their behalf. This pocket-shaped device created by a startup named Rabbit, is a compact Ai-driven gadget which has the potential to eventually replace your smartphone.
The feature ‘Teach Mode’ is operated by learning a task that the users demonstrate to the device, for example, the users fetch updates from a content creator they follow or assist in drafting a social media post. This feature can be accessed by the users easily by simply logging into ‘Rabbithole’, the online platform which is used to manage R1 devices.
On the platform, the users will find an option where they will be allowed to create a ‘lesson’ by explaining a specific task and then recording themselves while they perform the task. Once they are done demonstrating what they want the AI agent to do, they can ask it to recall what it has learned and have the device execute the task.
Although it seems simple, Rabbit has admitted that the ‘Teach Mode’ is still in its experimental phase and the results may not be always what the users might expect. According to Rabbit, the feature can be used on all websites including YouTube, Spotify, Discord, X, and many others. However, there are challenges that users may face while using the site such as when they use CAPTCHAs, it is an issue that R1 users encountered previously while they were trying to connect to certain websites. ‘Teach Mode’ is the latest feature aiming at the improved capabilities of Rabbit R1. Last month, the company introduced its Large Action Model or LAM which strives to navigate websites on behalf of the users, in addition to this, they can now personalize the user interface using AI prompts.
