Samsung started the One UI 7 beta program in December for specific places, along with different security updates for S24 owners. It is mandatory for users to install December Security updates as soon as possible.
The recent security updates appeared lowkey with six critical fixes of Android’s monthly update (CVE-2024-38408, CVE-2024-43096, CVE-2024-43770, CVE-2024-43771, CVE-2024-49747, CVE-2024-49748), including Samsung’s own fix (CVE-2024-49415).
According to Sammy Fans, “Samsung has started rolling out the December 2024 security update for Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra users…those not participating in the beta are receiving this stable security patch. Stable December 2024 security update is currently available for the Galaxy S24 series in Korea and the company will soon expand it to more countries.”
Interestingly, S24 owners will get a suite of security updates with One UI 7. The updates include default Maximum Restrictions to protect the cellular network and a new Safe Installation feature. Additionally, Samsung stated that the new security update integrates with Auto Blocker to send users a warning alert when they attempt to download something from unauthorized servers.
Furthermore, Samsung is going to add an extra-level protective ecosystem following the news revealing that “Zimperium has discovered another new threat targeting Android phones.” The company aims to enhance security measurements like Apple iPhones. So, Galaxy users need to prevent vulnerability and remote code execution risk.
In addition to security, Samsung Electronics’ new Knox Matrix works to protect each other in a trusted network. The more devices users connect, the stronger security their devices get. Overall, Samsung S24 users will critically update their devices for safety and protection.
